I like the memories we have made
how our moments just seem to last
how we do everything we can
just to make eachother laugh

I like the candles in our place
and how they light your face
like the universe lights our path
reminding us of what we have

so many things about us
the places only we go
like our tree and the stars in space
the things only  you and I will ever know

I like to hear you breath
reminds me of all the life you have left
and when my words are failing
I will still try to say them
for me there are only so many days

I take all these mental photographs
I can see your golden hair
All the smiles you have had
nothing seems to warm me
like the sound of your laugh

for years you made me feel
feeling like no one else
the broken paper man
in the painting
only you understand

Now I no longer feel the pain
and everytime I see you smile
I feel those words
I've held inside for awhile

Ive been seeing your walls

as the walls I've climbed
fade away

now I see you having sweet dreams
sunsets and trees and a great life
